Hey {FIRST NAME},

You did it. Your free Tax Savings Strategy Call with my team is booked, and I’m so excited for you.

You’ll be talking to one of my strategists. We’re a team of CPAs and EAs, and finding what business owners are overpaying is what we do all day long.

There’s one step left before your call, and it’s the one that matters most. In about an hour I’ll send you the link to your portal so you can upload your last 3 years of returns.

For now, put the call in your calendar so nothing books over it:

PreviewUpload your last 3 returns before the call. Here’s how.

Hey {FIRST NAME},

This is the step that makes your call worth your time.

Before you talk to your strategist, create your portal account and upload your last 3 years of tax returns.

  1. 1Open your portal and create your account with the same email you booked with.
  2. 2Upload your full return for each of the last 3 years. Every page and every schedule, not just the first two pages, because the good stuff is usually hiding in the schedules.

Why three years and not one? One year shows us a snapshot. Three show us the patterns: what’s been missed over and over, what changed when your income went up, and sometimes what could still be worth amending.

When your returns are in, your strategist walks into the call already knowing your numbers. So instead of spending your time collecting information, they spend it showing you where the money is.

Open my portal and upload my returns[PORTAL LINK]

P.S. Can’t find them? Your CPA or preparer has a PDF of every return they’ve filed for you. Send them a quick email and ask.

What happens on your call

PreviewSo you know exactly what you’re walking into.

Hey {FIRST NAME},

I want you to walk into your call knowing exactly what’s going to happen, because nobody likes a mystery call.

Your strategist will have gone through your returns before you get on. That’s why the upload matters so much.

On the call they’ll:

  • Ask about your life and your business. What you do, who helps you, whether your kids or your spouse pitch in, and what you’re planning to buy next.
  • Show you where you’ve been overpaying, on your actual numbers.
  • Walk you through which of the three levers fit you: write off the life you already live, pay your family, not the IRS, and turn your tax savings into assets.
  • Tell you honestly whether a strategy engagement with my team makes sense for you.

Bring your questions, too. Write down anything about your taxes that’s been bugging you, especially the stuff your CPA brushed off. That’s exactly what this call is for.

Make sure your returns are uploaded[PORTAL LINK]

a single mom, a tax firm owner and a $50K first meeting

PreviewThree people I want you to meet before your call.

Hey {FIRST NAME},

Before your call, I want you to meet a few people.

Kymbirley Brake is a single mom building three businesses at once, and she’s a member of my Council Mastermind. If anyone had an excuse to put her taxes on the back burner, it was her. I sat down with her on my podcast, Life Changing Money:

Marina owns a tax firm with a team of her own. She came to my Minted Wealth Live event with her husband, and after that weekend he finally got her business.

And Jacob M., one of our tax strategy clients, said “the first meeting showed where we could save over $50K+ in taxes.”

His first meeting. That’s the kind of conversation you’ve got coming up.

I’m not promising you $50K, because every return is different. But I’ve read enough of them to know that most business owners making real money are leaving something on the table, and your strategist is going to find out what that looks like for you.

P.S. If your returns aren’t in your portal yet, tonight’s a good night to do it. It only takes a few minutes.

Legal? Audit? Already have a CPA?

PreviewThe three worries that show up right before a call.

Hey {FIRST NAME},

Right before a call, the same three worries tend to show up. Let’s deal with them now so you can walk in calm.

“Is this actually legal?”

Yes. Everything my team uses is written into the tax code, and most of it has been there for decades. Paying your kids for real work, writing off a trip with a real business purpose, buying real estate with the money you save. I’m not smarter than you, I just learned the rules the wealthy use.

“What if I get audited?”

The strategy is rarely what gets people in trouble. Missing paperwork is. That’s why everything we put in place comes with the documents behind it: the board meeting minutes, the timesheets and job descriptions for your kids, the mileage log for your car. If the IRS ever asks, the answer is already sitting in a file.

“I already have a CPA.”

Keep them if you love them. You can love your CPA and still be overpaying, because filing correctly and planning ahead are two different jobs. Your strategist will show you the difference on your own return.

If something else is on your mind, write it down and bring it to the call. Nothing’s off limits.

PreviewHere’s your link, and what to have open.

Hey {FIRST NAME},

Your Tax Savings Strategy Call is today.

Take it somewhere quiet, ideally on your laptop, so your strategist can share their screen and walk you through your numbers.

Have last year’s return open and your list of questions next to you. And if your spouse or business partner is part of the money decisions at home, have them join too. It’s a lot easier when you both hear it at the same time.

I’m so glad you’re doing this.
